Come see a special Champ Day movie: The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms at 3 pm, Saturday Aug. 2nd at the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church, corner of Main and Church St. in the middle of downtown Port Henry.
Stop-motion animation master Ray Harryhausen created the amazing special effects for this exciting tale of a still-living dinosaur. An all-time favorite of paleontologists and cryptozoologists, this movie has Champ lore connections and even inspired the original Godzilla.
Free and showing on good ol’ fashioned 16mm film, not DVD.
Hosted by Champ enthusiast, film preservationist and former Press-Republican movie critic Andy MacDougall (this is an encore screening of the Mayor’s Cup movie, and Champ Day 2014’s final event).
Location: Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church is located at 19 Church St. in Port Henry, NY.
