Reminder of Special CATS Event

CATS event this Saturday!!!!

The Celebrate Champlain Area Trails Event is this Saturday, June 2nd from 4 – 6 pm at Block House Farm in Essex. You can save $5 per person or $10 per family by signing-up by June 1 — just send a check to CATS, PO Box 193, Westport, NY 12993. Call 962-2287 if you have questions.

The featured speaker is Brian Mann, the Adirondack Bureau Chief for North Country Public Radio who will talk about the importance of trails to strengthen our communities and how land trusts like CATS are needed to save land in these times of limited state ability to do that.

We will also announce the winners of the CATS Travel Writing Contest.

Children are welcome at the event! During Brian’s talk, there will be a nature hike with Jen & Greg so the kids can enjoy the outdoors while parents can hear Brian’s inspiring words.

This event is a great way to kick off the summer season so we hope you will attend. The cost is $15/person and $30/family if you sign-up by June 1. The cost at the door is $20/person and $40/family. Kids are free! [Essex on Lake Champlain.]
