This is my collection of bald eagle photographs. Most were taken just past the Crater Club about a month ago.
There are still several bald eagles in the area. I spotted a couple of eagles circling over Turtle Island near the bridge in Willsboro about two weeks ago. It’s probably the only “open water” they can find.
In the video below four eagles are fighting over a fish out on the ice taken February 13, just before the Essex-Charlotte ferry shut down.
Here are two photographs of the same bald eagles that appear in the video.
I took these bald eagle photographs and video while commuting to Vermont for work, but I have been known to go out on “photo safaris” on Sunday afternoons as well. I guess I’m a total bird geek. I love birds and the Adirondack Mountains despite my gripe with winter. I grew up in Queens but I vacationed on Long Pond. And as a kid I spent summers here with my grandparents. Cried going back to Queens.
