The Whallonsburg Grange Hall will present “Six Adirondack Women” with historian Kenda James on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the fourth in the Winter Lyceum Lecture series entitled “More History of Everything in Six Objects.” Through her presentation, Kenda will unveil the six most prominent Adirondack women (in history) who have affected the region, the state, the country and the world.
Kenda James is a 20-plus-year resident of Willsboro. She founded Adirondack Women in History in 1995, a non-profit organization dedicated to research and celebration of the contributions of Adirondack women. Kenda is Production and Quality Manager at General Composites in Willsboro. She is also a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve, currently Commanding Officer of Global Logistics Support Headquarters unit in San Diego. She and her husband, Bill, live on Middle Road.
Admission is $5.00 and students tickets are free. The Whallonsburg Grange is located at 1610 NYS Route 22, five miles south of the village of Essex.
