I would like to remind everyone that we are having our fundraising auction next Sunday, the 17th of August. We have changed gears a bit, and have decided to do a silent auction instead of using an auctioneer. While our artists have generously donated artwork, we have not yet amassed enough goods to warrant having a traditional auction. We will save this idea for next season, and hopefully collect enough donations by next summer for a bigger event.
Meanwhile, we will be starting our silent auction at 4:00pm on Sunday. We will have Russ Bailey and the beautiful Kashka firing up Russ’s homemade Mongolian grill out in the backyard, serving up local sausage, peppers, onions, and veggies. A keg of craft brew and music by member Shane Cariffe will add just the right touch to the afternoon.
Please do come and peruse our auction items, and bid generously to support our gallery purchase fund! We’ve had a really good season and are more excited than ever about the possibility of this becoming our permanent home. If anyone has anything they’d like to donate to the auction, there is still time!
Thanks,
Janice Koenig and the AAA board
