Over 200 met virtually July 14-15 to tackle regional Adirondack issues
The 14th annual Adirondack Common Ground Alliance Forum concludes Thursday, July 23 at 2 p.m. as members of the CGA Core Team and Northern Forest Center staff present key points from what was shared during the July 14-15 online Forum. The information conveyed will serve as the platform for the 2020 Blueprint for the Blueline, a shared vision and strategy document designed for the region to communicate and tackle big issues with one voice.
Over 200 Adirondack residents, educators, business owners, community leaders, and taxpayers representing 56 different communities participated in the two-day virtual event which focused on the topic of Attracting a New Generation of Residents to the Adirondacks. A recap, including presentations and video, are now available at CommonGroundADK.com.
Speakers and panelists included Nicky Hylton-Patterson, Adirondack Diversity Initiative Director, Joe Short, Vice President of the Northern Forest Center and Bill Farber, Chairman of Hamilton County Board of Supervisors.
The Common Ground Alliance was formed in 2007 to identify opportunities for collaboration amongst different – and at times, competing – Adirondack stakeholders. The Alliance promotes inclusiveness, mutual respect, transparency, candor and trust to guide open discussions and foster productive dialogue across a multitude of viewpoints.
