The Adirondack Harvest Festival is fast approaching!
Celebrate local farms, innovative farmers, tasty beer/cider/wine, great music, and CATS Trails at the Adirondack Harvest Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17! It all takes place at the Essex County Fairgrounds in Westport. All but the hikes, that is—they begin and end there.
For Friday’s Harvest Moon Hike, park at the Fairgrounds, take a shuttle to the DaCy Meadow Farm Trail and walk the 3.5 miles back to the fairgrounds for food, drinks, and music with Taylor Haskins’ “Green Empire.”
For Saturday’s Essex to Westport Ferry-to-Fairgrounds Hike, it’s best to park at the Fairgrounds in Westport and take the shuttle to Essex where the hike will start. Alternatively, you can park in Essex, do the hike and take a shuttle back to Essex.
The hike is about 13 miles. When you arrive at the fairgrounds, you’ll find more food, drinks, and music by Crackin’ Foxy. The Festival also features a farmers’ market, farming demonstrations, and a talk featuring Mark Kimball of Essex Farm.
Admission to the Harvest Fest is free. The CATS hikes have a fee to cover our costs and help make new trails. Click here for more information and to sign up for one or BOTH of the CATS hikes.
Thank you.
