The Adirondack Art Association is now hosting an exhibit featuring artists Wendy Miller and Helen Goetz. Their work explores themes of art and light in ceramic and glass in an exhibit entitled “Earth and Light — A Dance of Ceramic and Glass.”
At once tactile and ethereal, utilitarian and visionary, the ceramics of Wendy Miller and glass creations of Helen Goetz form the centerpiece of the second AAA Member Group Show of 2012. Discover the expressive range of these two media, and get to know new offerings from other AAA Member-Artists. (Adirondack Art Association)
This sounds like a very unique and interesting exhibition. I’m very excited to see what exactly these two artists can create using two different, yet I think complementary mediums. I could perhaps see an industrial theme with glass and ceramics working together. Of course I can see the opposite approach with the hard, rough ceramic and delicate, smooth glass highlighting the contrasting natures as well. I’m sure there are countless approaches, and I am interested to see what these artists have chosen to portray!
