The Champlain Valley Film Society Presents: Pride. With Speaker – historian Andy Buchanan.
Based on the extraordinary true story of a group of Welsh coal miners who are losing a strike against Margaret Thatcher’s hard-line policies and their unlikely alliance with a group of London gay-rights activists. Rex Reed said Pride has “the same feel-good spirit as Billy Elliott and The Full Monty” and the New York Times said “this film will leave audiences applauding.”
