At the Essex Community Church
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
The Essex Community Concert “mid-day concert” series is held on Thursday mornings at 11:30 am, and lasts about 45 minutes. Concerts are located in the Essex Community Church, just across the street from the Essex-Charlotte ferry dock.
About Daniel Linder
Daniel Linder studies piano with John Milbauer in pursuit of a M.M. in piano performance at the University of Arizona. In June 2012 he graduated magna cum laude with a B.M. in piano performance and a B.A. in history from Northwestern University, where he studied piano with Alan Chow. He has also studied at the Chautauqua Institution in western New York state. He graduated from Westport Central School and studied piano with Rose Chancler in Wadhams, NY.
Dan is a class piano TA at the University of Arizona and teaches privately at the Allegro School of Music in Tucson. As an undergraduate, he served as the music director of the Northwestern University Lutheran Church and played in the Northwestern Contemporary Music Ensemble. He recently won fourth place in the Lois Trester Piano Competition at the University of Arizona, and he won first place in the Thaviu-Isaak Endowed Piano Scholarship Competition at Northwestern University in May 2012. He was a prizewinner in the 2010 Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra Piano Concerto Competition, and he was a finalist in the 16th Annual Piano Competition at the Chautauqua Music Festival in July 2011.
