The next event in the Belden Noble Memorial Library’s Get to Know Your Neighbors series will feature Steven Kellogg on Thursday, August 22, at 7:00 p.m.
Steven will talk about his long relationship with Essex that began when his grandmother told adventurous stories about her experiences on the lake after she and her sister and their families moved into adjacent camps in the Crater Club in 1901. After spending boyhood summers vacationing on Lake Champlain, Steven began a fifty-year career in the world of children’s books. He has published over 120 titles, including his latest, The Word Pirates, which he completed in the newly constructed Camp Moon Rise overlooking the lake where he and his wife Helen currently live. Steven will discuss these and additional experiences at the event.
This event is a fundraiser for the library with a suggested donation of $5.00 (children free).
