Happy Holidays from all of us at Champlain Area Trails!
Here is a great last-minute gift idea for that special person–make a donation to CATS in his or her name. Your donation will help save land, make trails, create hikes, and expand our outdoor education program.
Out on the Trails
The Owl Prowl on Sunday was a great success. Twenty-five people walked through snow-lit woods as naturalist Gregg VanDeusen made owl calls. We were rewarded by having an owl answer one of his calls.
Please join us for a Moonlight Hike up Blueberry Hill in Elizabethtown on January 3rd, followed by a gathering at the Halfway House Restaurant. Click HERE for details.
Enjoy getting out in the snow. We recommend using snowshoes and skis to limit the “postholes” from just walking in boots. Try the Ancient Oak Trail, McAuliffe Road Trail, Boquet Mountain Trail, Bobcat Trail, and the new Wildway PassageTrail. Cheney Mountain Trail in Moriah is quite nice too.
Have a safe and happy holiday.
