Imagine: You and some friends are at Dogwood Bakery in Wadhams. You stash a few more cookies in your pack and head out for the Field and Forest Trail to enjoy a wonderful three-hour hike to Whallonsburg. You hop in the car you left there, return to Wadhams and revel in the kind of outdoor experience we at CATS are promoting by making trails that link our communities.
To make that happen, we need your help making the trails.
CATS Field and Forest Trail Work
Please join us, this Saturday, January 18 at 12:30 PM to create the eastern extension of the Field and Forest Trail, which connects Wadhams and Whallonsburg. Everyone is welcome. You can bring loppers or a hand saw or just use our tools. We will meet at the southern trailhead of the Bobcat Trail (directions are below).
As an added treat, we will announce the winners of the Photo and Caption Contest!
Please let us know if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there! Thank you.
Directions:
From Wadhams, take Rte 22 north about 2 miles to Ferris Lane. Turn left and go about ¼ mile to the trailhead.
From Whallonsburg, take Rte 22 south about 2 miles to Ferris Lane. Turn right and go about ¼ mile to the trailhead.
