The Goff Brothers

The Goff Brothers include Mitchell, Matthew, Jonathan
and Joseph Goff of Plattsburgh, NY. These four young men are delighted to shared their love of music and performance skills with the local community.
Mitchell (16) has been playing music for ten years. He started piano at age five, and violin at age six. He is currently studying piano with Marilyn Taggart in Montpelier, VT, and violin with Ira Morris, Concertmaster of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra (MA), in Hinesburg, VT. Mitchell is a member of the Vermont Youth Orchestra (VYO). Most recently, Mitchell was announced winner of the Burlington Chamber Orchestra Young Artist Solo Competition .
Matthew (14) began playing cello at age four under the direction of Anne Brown in South Burlington, VT. He currently studies with John Dunlop, Principal Cellist of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, in Richmond, VT. Matthew is also in his second year as a member of the Vermont Youth Orchestra. He was awarded an honorable mention in the Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra Boraweitz competition and performed with the VYP in Montpelier, VT, on March 27, 2011.
Jonathan (12) has been studying piano for eight years with Marilyn Taggart. He began expanding his study of percussion last year and is currently a percussion student of Rich Magnuson in Vermont and a member of the percussion section with the Vermont Youth Sinfonia.
Joseph (9) has been with Marilyn Taggart on piano for the past four years. He started violin three years ago with Pam Reit in Hinesburg, VT, and has been a member of the Vermont Suzuki Violins for two years.
All four artists are homeschooled, play youth hockey and soccer, and enjoy many outdoor recreational activities year round. Music, however, is a big part of their family life and they are happy to share it now with you.

The Mid Day Concert Series features an eclectic mix of music performed by local musicians. The atmosphere is casual, and attendees are invited to have lunch following the performance at a local restaurant.
Performances:
Performances are held Thursday mornings at 11:30am, and last about 45 minutes.
Admission:
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
