Here a photo of the house that I was born in, in 1936, when it was known as Hillcrest Farm. Now it is Frisky Irwin’s place.
This was the side not the front of the house—before the tree was removed. I remember swinging on that tree and the beautiful hollyhocks in that garden and the many pictures of the Irish girls that were taken sitting on that wall. Even my daughter Kelly visited there this summer and I have a picture of her on that wall (shown right). I wish could find the older ones to share, but I think they are packed away. Memories…so many wonderful memories!
Painting of Hillcrest Farm
This painting of the farm was done by Dorothy T. Wight from New Jersey (since deceased). She had a son Butch Richmond Wight whom my sister Patricia Irish White used to babysit for when they came up to spend the summers in the beautiful Essex on Lake Champlain—like so many did and still do.
Dorothy gave the painting to my sister, so this is just a picture of it. Brings back so many fond remembrances.
