The Whallonsburg Grange Hall Lyceum will present “Adirondack Landscapes Through the Lens” on Tuesday, October 9 at 7:30pm. A stunning journey through our own region by scientist and photographer Brendan Wiltse, this is the third lecture in the Fall series entitled “Landscapes, Real and Imagined.”
Photography is one of the most popular ways to connect people to the natural world. Brendan Wiltse, contributor to Adirondack Life and Adirondack Explorer, will share stories and examples of how photography can be used as a tool to draw interest, awareness, and emotional connections to wild places and the organisms that live there. Throughout his presentation, Brendan will discuss the challenges our wild lands face as they are increasingly promoted online through social media.
$5 / students free. The Grange is at 1610 NYS Route 22 in Essex, NY (five miles south of the Village). More information is available at www.thegrangehall.info.
