2016 CAP Grantees Express the Benefits:
Our summer season was extremely well received and garnered stellar reviews. Your funding allowed us to maintain the quality summer season for which we are known. We thank the Essex County Arts Council for their generous support of Pendragon Theatre as we continue to deliver high-quality performances and educational opportunities to the county and beyond.
Pendragon Theatre, General Operating Support…It was a huge success and we have people telling us they would sign up if we offered it again… By the end of the ten weeks, most could play at least 5 songs using 5 different chords! We had one little girl that just excelled and will be continuing to take lessons. In addition, our little group is going to meet twice a month to keep up our newly learned skills and hopefully share what we’ve learned with others.
Schroon Lake Library, Learn to Play the Ukelele“With a loss of businesses in our community our budget is stretched to the max, but we believe that this is a cultural program that should continue for years to come. The generous [CAP] grant will help with the cost of the program and we greatly appreciate it.”
Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce, Annual Square Dances“As sculpture is not often seen in this locale, the show provides a rare opportunity for the artists to exhibit their sculpture for five weeks and for young and old to experience three dimensional art.”
