Event set for Saturday, August 28, raises funds for area youth programs

This year’s edition will return to the traditional format so participants can enjoy the view from a bicycle seat while peddling in support of youth programs. The 2021 version of the ride will be happening on the last Saturday in August.

Named after a local plumber and cycling enthusiast, the Pat Stratton Ride is a road cycling tour featuring some of the most stunning scenery and terrain in the northern Adirondacks.

An important part of the event is that registrations and sponsorships support a wide variety of youth programs, including an annual bicycle rodeo, free helmet distribution and fitting, support for the school back-pack program, support for foster children, summer camp scholarships, and much more.

The three bicycle routes (28, 56, and 100 miles) will all be marked as starting and ending at the Mt Pisgah parking area. Ride start times are staggered depending on the route. Each route is fully supported with a follow vehicle and feed station(s). Route maps are available at BikeAdirondacks.com for printing or downloading.

Registration is open at BikeAdirondacks.com, and in addition to providing important support for youth programs, your registration includes the 21sth Anniversary performance sports shirt, post ride BBQ, fantastic pies and a raffle.
