The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) will host its annual Fact or Fiction storytelling event on Friday, February 28, at 7 p.m. at The Waterhole, located at 48 Main St, Saranac Lake.
Fact or Fiction is a live storytelling game where performers tell stories and the audience, using their best detective skills, asks questions to determine if what they just heard was true or a lie. Participants can play solo or form teams to strategize about which questions to ask and whether to ultimately vote fact or fiction at the end of each story. The team or solo player with the most correct categorizations will win prizes and glory, mostly glory.
“This event just keeps getting better and more hilarious every year,” said Nathalie Thill, executive director of ACW. “We’ve sold out the last two years, turning people away at the door, so we knew we needed a bigger venue. We’re excited to be at The Waterhole and to welcome our biggest audience yet. It’s going to be a blast. This year’s line-up is a mix of fan favorites and new storytellers. For anyone who attended our Howl Story Slam in Tupper Lake last November, they surely remember the chicken story, and that storyteller, Roy, will be on stage to tell a brand new story, but will it be a true story or a lie?”
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at adirondackcenterforwriting.org/fact-or-fiction-2025.
