The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) is hosting its 25th Anniversary Gala on Friday, May 3, from 6-9 p.m. in the Great Hall at Hotel Saranac.
The event will include an open beer and wine bar, hors d’oeuvres, games (including ACW’s famous book on your head obstacle course), a tarot card reader, a caricaturist, and more. Honorees and honorary chairs include Nancy and John Rosenthal, Fran Yardley, and Burdette Parks.
“Twenty five years is a huge milestone for ACW, so this year’s gala will be extra celebratory,” said Nathalie Thill, ACW’s executive director. “Through events and programs like our writing retreats, open mics, story slams, workshops, school visits, the Kickass Writers Festival and so much more, we’ve built a substantial community of writers, readers and storytellers in the Adirondacks and beyond. Celebrating 25 years is really about celebrating the community we’ve built along the way. It’s also going to be a fun time. At our 20th anniversary, we were voted most fun gala, so you know we can throw a party.”
