The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) will present a discussion on Friday, Nov. 8, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Armstrong room of the High Peaks Resort as part of the Lake Placid Film Festival.
The discussion will be led by ACW director Nathalie Thill and WGA award-winning screenwriter Jacob Krueger and will cover: the similarities and differences between book writing and writing for TV or film, how to know if a book can be translated into a movie or TV show, how to decide to write the screenplay or turn it over to a screenwriter and how to best make the transition to the business of screenwriting.
“We’re so excited to be a part of the Lake Placid Film Festival again this year,” said Nathalie Thill, executive director of ACW. “Whether you’re writing a novel, memoir, short story, or creative nonfiction, this conversation will give you a new perspective on the art of adaptation.”
This event is free and does not require a festival pass. See the full festival schedule and register for this event and others at adirondackfilm.org.
