The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) will host its fourth annual Fact or Fiction storytelling event on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. at The Waterhole, located at 48 Main St, Saranac Lake.
Fact or Fiction is a live, storytelling game where the audience plays detective. After each performance, attendees have the chance to ask the storytellers questions to determine if the narrative was true or a total fabrication. Participants can play solo or form teams to strategize about which questions to ask and whether to ultimately vote fact or fiction at the end of each story.
“This is, without exaggeration, ACW’s most fun event of the year – for the audience, but also for me personally,” said ACW’s executive director Nathalie Thill. “I get to choose my favorite storytellers, which is always a mix of veterans on the stage and newcomers, and the crowd is as involved as the people telling stories. It’s such a great time.”
This year’s line-up is a mix of fan favorites and new storytellers, including Dan Badger, Rob Carr, Amy Coddington-Burnett, Joe Conto, Sam Darring, Kelsey Francis, and ACW’s own Nathalie Thill.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at adirondackcenterforwriting.org/event/fact-or-fiction-2026.
