Mac MacDevitt

Mac MacDevitt has raised his sons Zak and Ben Breckenridge in Essex with his wife Darla Breckenridge for the last 25 years. They now share their house with daughter Katie MacDevitt and her two dogs. For the past three years Mac and Darla have split their time between Essex and Chicago where Darla works as a personal assistant and where Mac is deeply engaged in the personal storytelling community and activism as an Associate Member of Chicago Veterans for Peace. On Lake Champlain Mac is an avid adventure sailor with his bright yellow trimaran Limonada.

Most recently as an artist he developed the My Lai Memorial Exhibit and embarked on a nationwide tour hosted by Veterans for Peace chapters in May 2018. As a component of the exhibit Mac is exploring how his sculptural collages can deepen understanding and empathy, and how we can tap into the artist in each of us and join with others to speak up for social justice.
