Public and Regular Meeting Minutes

January 2, 2014

Public Meeting called to order at 7:02

No Public present.  Motion made by Derrick Wrisley to end Public Hearing 7:03

Old Business:

Stuart Brody: Minor Subdivision Application (Property Tax Map 39.4-1-5.220). The existing 64 acres will be subdivided with approximately 8(+/-) acres to be retained by the owner for personal, seasonal use.

Acting Chair- Olive Alexander asked if any of the Planning Board had any thoughts. David Hislop questioned farming.  Mr. Brody explained the farmland acreage will be cultivated by respective buyers and there would be goats raised on property.

Mr. Brody asked Mark Walker to arrange access power same spot as driveway and septic.

Olive Alexander reviewed the new SEQR with David Hislop who was absent last meeting. Property owner does own SEQR and completed copy used as review sheet.  Questions concerning SEQR answered by Olive Alexander.

Motion to approve Stuart Brady’s application and permit granted made by David Hislop, Derrick Wrisley second.  All approved.

About Olive Alexander

Although I grew up in Essex on my grandparents’ farm and developed strong ties to farming, I wanted to see more of the world and experience the differences in cultures and people. I spent nearly fifty years in England, New Hampshire, Texas and New Jersey with trips to almost all of the fifty states and Singapore, an incomparable learning experience. I now live on property that has been in our family for three generations and still love the fields, the farms and the animals.
