
Tomorrow, Saturday, August 4, our fair hamlet on Lake Champlain will turn out with Technicolor fanfare for the thirty third Downtown Essex Day. That’s right, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. good folks from both shores of Lake Champlain will converge on Essex, NY for a fine food and good finds of the collectible, antique, artistic, crafty, gastronomic, woodsy and esoteric varieties.
Downtown Essex Day Vendors & Events
Main Street will be lined with vendors and recently launched Split Rock Outfitters and Guides has reserved Beggs Park all day to demo stand-up paddle boarding (SUP’ing), kayak rolling and bouldering session. Rain or shine, Downtown Essex Day promises fun for the whole family. Plan on eating lunch at the Essex Ice Cream Café, the Pink Pig, the Old Dock House Restaurant, the Essex Inn or Essex Provisions, and swing by Pantouf’s Glass Studio starting at 11:00 a.m. to enjoy the cool rhythms of Joan Crane.
