The Essex Community Concert Series is again honored to bring back internationally acclaimed concert pianist Diana Fanning with an enchanted evening of classical masterpieces.
Diana Fanning’s performance is on Friday the 7th of August, 2015 at 7:00PM at the Essex Community Church, 2743 N.Y.S. Rte 22. in Essex, NY (on the corner of Main Street and Rt. 22, across from the ferry dock). During an informal reception following the concert, you can meet Diana and enjoy light refreshments. Admission is $10 with children admitted free. The building is wheelchair accessible.
The concert program will include Ms. Fanning’s exquisite renditions of works by Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy and Janáček.

Diana Fanning has toured extensively as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout the eastern US and in Europe, concertizing in London, Paris, Geneva, Amsterdam, and Munich. After her first solo concert in Munich, a critic acclaimed about “the effervescent brilliance and passionate sweetness of her playing” and added that “her virtuoso playing was rich in nuances.”

Vermont Public Television featured her in a program of works by Scarlatti, Ravel and Chopin. Radio audiences throughout New England and Canada hear her frequently in live and taped performances over Vermont Public Radio, and she has also performed live on “Morning Pro Musica” (WGBH-FM) Boston and on WNYC, New York City.
Ms. Fanning and her husband, Emory have owned and directed the Point CounterPoint Chamber Music Camp for ten years, inspiring young protégés.
Her major teacher has been Ruth Geiger of New York City; she also studied at the Conservatoire National de Paris. Diana Fanning presently teaches piano at Middlebury College, Vermont.
