Cathy DeWolff to speak at Belden Noble Memorial Library
Cathy DeWolff, Essex resident and member of the Willsboro Heritage Society, will present a talk on Ransom Noble and the 37th Regiment Essex Militia as part of the Bi-centennial Commemoration of The Battle of the Boquet on Wednesday, July 9th at 7:00 pm at the Belden Noble Memorial Library.
Cathy will also present some rare artifacts and books from the Henry Harmon Noble Collection of Dr. Peter and Maryanne Schultz. This will be a fascinating account of our early local military history, particularly of the Battle fought right here on our shores on May 14, 1814.
Note: The library will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Watch for us in the parade!
