Still not sure what a group shake is? Sophie’s writes:
“A Group Shake is a durational practice in which participants gather to shake together for a set amount of time. Shaking can relieve stress, depend mind-body connection, increase circulation, activate the lymphatic system, and allow for emotional release. It is an accessible, adaptable practice for people of all ages and abilities: you can at any speed, any intensity, in any part of the body. We will shake together for one hour, with time for a talk-through at the beginning, and settling and reflection at the end.”
Sophie recently taught a popular movement class at the Center. Participants of many different physical abilities loved the 10-minute shake incorporated into the class!
