The “Key Winds Trio” are really first-rate musicians, and they’ll be in concert at the Essex Community Church at 11:30 this Thursday, the 27th.
I understand that a lot of people have a real “day job” they have to be at, but I always feel a little sorry for folks who COULD show up when we have really excellent mid-day performances such as “Point-Counterpoint”, and they either didn’t get the word, or just let the opportunity pass them by.
I have heard Janice Kyle on oboe, Janine Scherline on clarinet, and David Carpenter on the piano a number of times, and I’m always impressed with their program selection and presentation. Each one is a master of their instrument, and they demonstrate a fantastic range of musicianship. And for a “free will donation”, you just cannot beat the price for an hour of high-caliber entertainment. You don’t normally hear these three instruments together, but the Key Winds’ repertoire includes some rarely-heard works written specifically for this combination, and the results are remarkable.
Please make a note to join us for an hour of really good entertainment by three wonderfully warm personalities. Spread the word, bring a friend, and enjoy the concert. I hope to see you there.
