Champlain Area Trails has some exciting news! Our application to have an extensive review of our policies and programs by the Land Trust Alliance’s (LTA) Accreditation Commission has been approved. This is a great opportunity to guarantee that our policies comply with LTA standards and ensure we operate in a consistent and effective manner to save land and make trails.
Becoming an “accredited land trust” assures the public and our donors that we are an efficient, reliable organization and it inspires greater confidence from landowners who work with us to conserve their land and develop trails on their properties. The “accreditation seal” is a mark of distinction that proclaims that we follow the highest standards and practices as we protect land and provide outdoor recreation in the public interest.
