The photos for the Champlain Area Trails Photo and Caption Contest are now posted on the CATS website. They are really outstanding with beautiful shots of Lake Champlain, fall colors, people you may know who are hiking the trails, and the joy of living in our communities. There is even one of the leapfrog event during last summer’s Fourth of July celebration at Begg’s Park. The captions are especially enjoyable.
Vote for Your Favorite CATS Photo
In this contest you can vote for the “People’s Choice Winners” in the three categories—Scenic/Nature, Out on the Trails, and Champlain Valley Communities. Voting has already begun so take a look at all the entries and then vote! Just click here to get to the CATS website, then scroll down or hover over “Contest” on the menu bar to see the three categories, click on each to see photos, and vote. We’ll announce your chosen winners in mid-January.
Each category will be awarded 2 prizes: A Judge’s First Place Award of $150 and the “People’s Choice” award of $100 for the most online votes. Remember that the captions are just as important as the photo.
Voting ends Friday, January 10, 2014!
Contest judge, Paul Martin Lester, award-winning photojournalist and California State University Fullerton professor will choose the official 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, which will also be announced in mid-January.
Meanwhile, check out the winners of the previous CATS Photo and Caption Contest at the bottom of the CATS “Contest” page.
