An End-of-Life Doula can guide our experience of dying from fear and isolation to a journey marked by compassion and understanding. At 6:30pm on Wednesday, January 8, Colleen Corrigan, a practicing End-of-Life Doula, will talk about her experience and how an End-of-Life Doula can make a difference for you or your loved ones. She will address:

• What an end-of-life Doula is — traditional vs. modern-day
• Who would benefit from this service
• What services are offered
• How you can access the services of a specially trained End-of-Life Doula

End-of-life Doulas provide crucial emotional, spiritual, and practical support that traditional medical care often overlooks, especially in the time between advanced illness and end of life. – Colleen Corrigan

About Colleen

It is Colleen’s mission is to bring peace and comfort to the final moments and to alleviate the fear, suffering and the feeling of being overwhelmed that often accompanies one of life’s most significant passages.

Colleen was raised in the southwest corner of the Adirondack Park and began establishing roots in the Tri-Lakes region in 2015. Beginning with environmental education, farming, and daycare, she eventually found her passion in “companioning others in times of transition” and founded the company Sacred Explorations. She describes her work as guiding us “to discover the intrinsic capacities we have to lean into times of transition – by inviting practices, perspectives, and connections that transform the unbearable and challenging into a space of deep knowing, processing, and integration.”
