Towns of Jay and Town of Keene Announces Sustainability & Energy Fair on September 14, 2024

The Town of Jay and Town of Keene are excited to invite the community to its first Sustainability & Energy Fair, taking place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will be held at the historic Jay Village Green and the Amos & Julia Ward Theater, promising a day filled with family fun, valuable insights, and community engagement.

This year’s fair is designed to be a comprehensive celebration of sustainable living and energy efficiency. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities including live music, engaging kids’ activities, and an array of food and refreshments to enjoy throughout the day.

The fair will feature a series of informative seminars aimed at empowering residents with knowledge on energy-saving practices and sustainable technologies. Topics include:

Lowering Energy Costs: Practical tips and strategies to reduce your energy bills.
Heat Pumps: Understanding their benefits and how they can improve home comfort.
Solar Electricity: How solar panels can be a smart investment for your home.
Electric Vehicles: Insights into the future of transportation and its environmental benefits.
Composting: Simple steps to start composting and its positive impact on waste reduction.
