This past February the Champlain Valley Film Society presented Women of ’69, Unboxed at the Whallonsburg Grange with the film’s Executive Producer Liz Roman Gallese present and Director Peter Barton available by Skype at the screening. The documentary will now be aired on Mountain Lake PBS on Friday, April 30, 2015 at 9:30 PM.
The film explores and brings to life the rebellious, turbulent years of 1965-’69 for women and the country in an unorthodox Skidmore College “yearbox” of individual, loose photo portraits. Through the lens of the tumultuous times in which they came of age, the women look back at their photos, and the ordinary lives of young women become extraordinary 45 years later.
