Incomplete information available for the Charolotte-Essex ferry. How much is it; how often do they run between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm; do you have to make a reservation? No schedules to be found. More info would be helpful for visitors.

The post above does detail the hours that the ferry is currently operating, however there is also a link to the complete schedule for the Essex-Charlotte ferry on LCT’s website in the post above, but you can also find it here: http://www.ferries.com/crossing-schedule-rates/charlotte-to-essex-ferry. You can also find ticket prices there. You do not have to make a reservation to take the ferry. Sorry for any confusion.
