2013 Meadowmount Concerts

The summer concert series at the Meadowmount School of Music will begin later this month. Meadowmount is a summer retreat for young musicians who are training for professional music careers. Our region is gifted with a special treat as these talented musicians play at several concerts open to the public throughout the summer! Peruse this summer’s schedule below courtesy of the Meadowmount School of Music.

2013 Concert Schedule

Concerts are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm.
June 28 to August 7 – On Campus
Admission is $10 for Adults, $5 for Students & Senior Citizens.

There will also be several special Meadowmount concerts. Some of which will be off-campus, so take note of the location.

Chamber Music Concert, Sunday, July 28, 7:30pm
Featuring Violinist Joseph Silverstein
Admission is $10 for Adults, $5 for Students & Senior Citizens.

Benefit concert, Sunday, August 4th, 7:30pm
Featuring Violinist James Ehnes, Cellist Robert Demaine, Pianist Eric Larsen
World Premiere of Kenneth Frazelle’s Triple Concerto
Admission $20 / Adults, $10 / Students & Senior Citizens

Essex Community Concert, Tuesday, July 23, 7:30pm
At Essex Community Church, Essex, NY

Ballard Park Concert, Thursday, August 1, 7:15 pm
At Ballard Park, Westport, NY

Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel Concert, Thursday, August, 8, 7:00 pm
Plattsburgh, NY

Directions to Meadowmount

From the Northway I-87, take exit 32 and go west toward Lewis on Hwy 12. Turn left at the Truck Stop (Dixon Road – not marked) and it becomes Redmond Road. Go 1 mile to stop sign/T in the road. Turn left and immediately bear right at the fork onto County Route 10 (Lewis-Wadhams Road). Concert Hall is the first driveway on the right. (Meadowmount School of Music)
