Vendor spaces are still available for the Essex Day Street Fair on Saturday, August 3rd from 9-3 pm. Artisans interested in selling crafts, art or food are encouraged to reserve a space soon. This town-wide event attracts people from far and wide to the hamlet of Essex each year to walk the historic streets, browse for treasures and savor good food and lakeside views.
Special deals for walk-on tickets for the Essex-Charlotte ferry are available the day of the event, thanks to the Lake Champlain Transportation Company, so many visitors come from Vermont and beyond.
This year you can expect a bandstand with live music throughout the day from local musicians such as the acoustic guitar and bass duo of Joan Crane & Steve Feinbloom, swing fiddle and guitar by Lee Adams & Yannig Tanguay, and the band Back in Time playing Americana and Bluegrass, with Donna Sonnet, Cheryl & Sam Blanchard, Dave Wyant, and Heather Lamb.
Food is available at the local establishments: Pink Pig Cafe, Essex Inn, Essex Ice Cream Cafe, Chez Lin & Rays, hot dogs and strawberry shortcake courtesy of the Essex Community Church.
Anyone interested in participating as a vendor should contact Susie Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 518-293-2380 for more information.
