Join the Adirondack Art Association for the opening of their third show of the summer! This exhibition, themed “Smallworks,” will showcase artwork from many local and regional artists. The new show will open on July 26. Attend the reception from 5-8PM that evening to enjoy some wine and cheese and meet some of the participating artists!
Quick reminder for artists that our next drop off for this show is this Wednesday, 10-2. If you have a slate for our upcoming silent auction, please remember to bring it by.
Artists, Prepare for 50th Anniversary Party!

Let’s celebrate the 50th year of the Adirondack Art Association and congratulate ourselves for maintaining a presence for art in our little community for such a long time! Plan to attend our birthday celebration on Friday, Aug 2nd, relax, and enjoy our beautiful space by the lake.
Preparations are underway! We are discussing the possibility of doing a raku firing down on the beach behind the gallery. We have hired Donna Sonnet and Don Vaccaro to play music out on the back porch. We will be having beer, wine, appetizers, and birthday cake.
One of the features of the celebration is a silent auction of the painted slates donated by our exhibiting members. If you have not picked up your slate yet, please come on down and get one. Ideally, bring your finished slate by at drop- off on the 26th. It’s suggested that the slate be primed with acrylic first for ease of painting.
Another way to contribute for those who can’t do the slate project would be to bring a small work for donation to the gallery. This would be a lovely gesture to commemorate 50 years of the associations’ dedication to making an accessible place for local artists to show and sell their work.
Hoping for more dry weather for our party and the well-being our beloved North Country. The town has been quiet so far this season due to the unpleasant weather patterns we’ve been having, hopefully this continues to turn around. See you at the Gallery!
