Hello from the monsoon-view gallery!! Pouring buckets outside as I write this, and yet the sun is shining. We are trying to get things rolling for our 50th anniversary celebration party in August, and so I’m calling for HELP!
AAA Slate Project
An idea for a silent auction has been proposed, featuring antique roof tiles from Rosslyn in Essex. Susan and George Davis will be donating the tiles, and all artists are being asked to pick up a tile here at the gallery to decorate in your own styles to be used in the auction. This has proven to be a fun fundraiser for other organizations, ask Amy Guglielmo, who is currently up to her neck in sap buckets over at the Depot Theatre…these little novelties must be completed and brought in before August 2.

The tiles are here folks and many have come down to pick one up. The tiles are by our front door in a box, so you can come by whenever it’s convenient. Most have nail holes at the top that we can use to hang them with, so please paint vertically.
More Ideas for 50th Celebration
Ideas are floating around concerning the party, music, free beer, dancing poodles…(that sounded like Jeff). Anyone with time, ideas, energy, or anything of use please don’t be shy, call the gallery at 963-8309 or email me (members@adirondackartassociation.com) and let’s get this show on the road.
Bill Crosby came up with an idea about bringing a small fourth piece for a gallery donation. A fourth piece, designated by the artist, will be a gallery donation and the AAA can either sell at the list price or put it in a silent auction. Unsold work can be held for future auctions/fund raising…Let us know what you think artists!
