The Adirondack Center for Writing will host their second Fact or Fiction storytelling event on Friday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. at The Garagery. The Garagery is Grizle T’s event space, located at the rear of 53 Main St. and accessed through the Dorsey Street parking lot in Sranac Lake, NY.
Fact or Fiction is a live storytelling game where performers tell stories and the audience asks questions in order to determine if what they just heard was true or made-up. ACW will choose the storytellers in advance to ensure a good mix of stories. Audience members can play solo or form teams to decide which questions to ask and whether to vote fact or fiction at the end of each story. The team or solo player to categorize the most stories correctly will win prizes, glory and more.
“Last year’s event was the most fun I had all year,” said Nathalie Thill, executive director of ACW. “I expected the storytellers to be entertaining, I chose them after all, but I had no way of predicting how fun and engaging the audience would be. They understood their job immediately and everyone had a ball trying to guess who told the truth and who lied. This year I’ve asked seven of my all-time favorite storytellers to perform and I can’t wait.”
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at adirondackcenterforwriting.org/event/fact-or-fiction-2024.
