Upcoming at the Adirondack Art Association Gallery in Essex, NY, is Remembering Alice: A Special Exhibition Featuring Works By—and Inspired by—The Late Alice Wand. The show will run from August 31, 2012-October 8, 2012.
There will be a reception Friday, August 31, 5-8pm to celebrate the exhibit’s opening! Light refreshments are offered for a small donation, and music is graciously provided by The Wannabes (AAA).
If you want to meet the artists, then attend the Gallery Chat at the AAA Gallery, Saturday, September 1. From 10am to Noon (Adirondack Art Association).
“The centerpiece of the show is a retrospective of the late AAA member-artist, Alice Wand, featuring works donated by her husband, friends and fellow artists. Alice employed handmade paper, art and artifacts to develop a unique and personal idiom that expressed her love for the Adirondack region.” (AAA)
The show will also include:
“New oils, watercolors, photographs, scupltures and mixed media pieces by members artists such as John Cullen, Patricia Reynolds, Sean Dye, Ellen Few Anderson and others.” (AAA)
