Adirondack Foundation Accepting Generous Acts Grant Applications

Seeking to support basic needs, educational pathways, and economic vitality/civic engagement

Nonprofits, schools and municipalities are encouraged to apply for support from Generous Acts at Adirondack Foundation.

Adirondack Foundation is accepting applications through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1; grants are awarded to qualifying programs and projects that address basic needs, educational pathways, economic development and civic engagement in the Adirondack region.

“Generous Acts is a force for good in our communities,” said Cali Brooks, president and CEO of Adirondack Foundation. “With the unwavering support of our generous donors and granting partners like the Hudson Headwaters Health Foundation, we’re proud to direct philanthropic dollars to the places where they can make a big difference. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are mindful of its social and economic impacts — Generous Acts recognizes the importance of working together toward a brighter, more inclusive future.”

Since its inception, Generous Acts has awarded nearly $2 million in grants to organizations across the Adirondack region. Funding is prioritized for applications that focus on underserved populations, help address racial, economic or other disparities and demonstrate collaboration and community buy-in.
