Founded in 2008, the Adirondack Shakespeare Company has grown from an intrepid group of 11 actors into a flourishing not-for-profit professional theatre company serving both New York City and the Adirondack Region of upstate New York. We at ADK Shakes are dedicated to producing world-class quality work that is unburdened by spectacle and technology, but rather focuses on what matters most: the play.
2013 Programming

This summer, Adirondack Shakespeare Company is producing a brand new, original children’s play, Celtic Fairy Tales, celebrating the rich literary tradition of Ireland. The show opens on July 25 and tours to various locations through August 1.
We are also kicking off our Staged Reading Series with Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, on Saturday, July 27 at the Boathouse Theater in Schroon Lake.
The season closes at the beautiful Scaroon Manor Amphitheater on August 3 with a performance of The Course of True Love, a collection of the Bard’s scenes, sonnets, and songs.
