Proposal Opening Meeting

August 9, 2012

2:00 p.m.

Present:  Supervisor Sharon Boisen, Jim Dougan of AESNE and Catherine DeWolff, Town Clerk.

Supervisor Boisen opened the meeting at 2:00 p.m.  The two proposals for well drillers were opened in the presence of the attendees:

Layne Christiansen                 $27,145.00

Ormsby Well Drilling              $20,970.00

Jim Dougan of AESNE thought another proposal would be forthcoming and it was agreed that we would wait until the second delivery of mail at 3:00 before counting any bidders out.

There was a discussion of the two proposals submitted.  Both companies are known to AES.

With nothing further, the Supervisor closed the meeting at 2:07 p.m.

Although I grew up in Essex on my grandparents’ farm and developed strong ties to farming, I wanted to see more of the world and experience the differences in cultures and people. I spent nearly fifty years in England, New Hampshire, Texas and New Jersey with trips to almost all of the fifty states and Singapore, an incomparable learning experience.
