Ballard Park 2026 Summer Music Series

      Editorial Staff · June 2, 2026 · Leave a Comment

The Ballard Park Foundation is pleased to announce the lineup for this summer’s free concert series in the park in Westport, NY: Thursdays at 7:00 PM in July and August.

      2026 Ballard Park Artists

      Myra Flynn – 7/9/2026

Catch Myra Flynn live with her full band as part of the Ballard Park Music Series in what promises to be an unforgettable evening of lyrical, soulful songs that move effortlessly from intimate ballads to soaring full-band energy. Known for her powerful voice and emotionally rich storytelling, Myra creates an intimate, personal experience celebrating life, love, and collective joy. Myra spends most of her time living, loving, and working in LA; this special performance is one of her short summer tours in New England and is not to be missed!

      Adirondack Jazz Orchestra – 7/16/2026

Known as the “Big Band of the Adirondacks,” the Adirondack Jazz Orchestra was founded in 2003 by Matthew Pray to bring together in a big band setting some of the Adirondack’s finest musicians. The AJO showcases the traditional big band sound of five trumpets, four trombones, and five saxophones with the added flavor of the tuba. Led by Pray, the band members are high school music educators, college professors, and college students, who perform arrangements by legends such as Glenn Miller, Buddy Rich, Charles Mingus, Thad Jones, and Maynard Ferguson, and original compositions by members of the AJO. In 2010, the group opened for The Glenn Miller Orchestra, then under the musical direction of Larry O’Brien.

      Band O’ Brothers – 7/23/2026

Based in Cheshire, CT, the Band O’Brothers plays their own brand of Irish-American Music. Mixing pub songs, Irish folk standards, and their own original folk songs and parodies, the Band O’ Brothers performs in bars, clubs, parties, and parades throughout Connecticut and surrounding states whenever they are asked (and sometimes when they’re not).

Existing mainly for the amusement of its members, the Band consists of three pairs of brothers – Chris and Jeff Dube; Steve and Anthony DePaolo; and Mark and Sean Malloy along with “Brothers from other mothers,” Chip Carr and Bill Gosselin.

Band O’Brothers latest album, All Together Again, was released in September of 2025 and is available on all streaming platforms.

Meadowmount School of Music – 7/30/2026

Founded in 1944 by legendary violin teacher Ivan Galamian, the Meadowmount School of Music is a renowned summer program for violinists, violists, and cellists, ages 10 to 30, from around the world. Located on a 240-acre campus in Westport, Meadowmount combines the best aspects of a music conservatory, summer camp, the Adirondacks, and a deep personal commitment on the part of each young artist. The school’s alumni include Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Jaime Laredo, Jessie Montgomery, and many more. This annual performance features two student quartets to celebrate Anne “Petey” Ballard Cerf’s founding of Ballard Park and her deep commitment to Meadowmount.

      House of Hamill – 8/6/2026

House of Hamill is a fixture on the country’s premier festival and folk stages. Their original song “Banks of the Brandywine” was a Grand Prize winner in the 2024 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and the video for its all-violin cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” amassed 16 million Facebook views and was shared over 400,000 times. The band’s 2024 release, “Wildfire,” features their strongest and most exciting songwriting to date. The album is filled with lyrical depth, sophisticated vocal and instrumental arrangements, and irresistible hooks, and captures their vibrant energy, a hallmark of their live shows. Whether ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies to traditional folk ballads, or telling stories from the road, House of Hamill captivates audiences from the very first note.

      Sweet Megg – 8/13/26

Sweet Megg is a genre-blending vocalist and songwriter, weaving jazz, country, and blues into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Originally from NYC and now based in Nashville, she has traveled the world honing her craft everywhere from Parisian jazz clubs to Southern honky-tonks. As of 2/15/2026, her last studio album, *Never Been Home* (#23 on the Americana charts and #1 on the Alt-Country Radio charts), showcased her signature writing style through 12 eclectic original Americana songs. She is currently writing her next original album and, in the meantime, releasing a new jazz album, *Massive Negroni*.

*Massive Negroni*, recorded in 2021 at Old Soul Studios, is a quartet record featuring guitarist Thor Jensen (Ashley Campbell, Hazmat Modine, Postmodern Jukebox), bassist Dylan Perillo (Hot Club of Saratoga), and drummer Chris Gelb (JD McPherson, Jessica Simpson, Margo Price, Asleep at the Wheel). The album spans material from Tom Waits to Sugar Pie DeSanto to Duke Ellington and can best be described as Americana jazz. This is her first full-length jazz album released independently, and that creative freedom is reflected in the quartet’s boldly individual sound. Guided solely by Sweet Megg’s vision, the music highlights the distinct personalities of each musician, resulting in a jazz record that feels curious, playful, and deeply personal—one she’s thrilled to share.

Sweet Megg began her career performing in dingy bars, coffee shops, and DIY loft venues of the East Village and Brooklyn. At 22, she moved to Paris to study jazz vocals, gigging across the city before returning to New York to spend a decade as a full-time jazz vocalist, steeped in the traditions of early jazz and blues.

Her debut indie-jazz album, Under the Moonlight (2020), released on Bushwick’s Dala Records, caught the attention of Scott Asen, trustee of The Paris Review, who launched Turtle Bay Records with Megg as one of its debut artists. This partnership produced I’m in Love Again (2021) before she relocated to Nashville, where she wrote and produced her first studio original album, Christine’s Daughter, with renowned Nashville producer Roger Moutenot.

In Nashville, she released two more albums blending jazz and country: My Window Faces the South (2022) and Bluer than Blue (2023). Megg toured globally with Postmodern Jukebox from 2021 to 2023, including a viral 1920s-style collaboration, and later led a Cirque du Soleil country music project. Megg released *Never Been Home* in 2025, blending classic influences with a modern edge, capturing both nostalgia and innovation. She is now set to release *Massive Negroni* in 2026 and will tour throughout America, the UK, and France.
