
The Whallonsburg Grange Hall in Essex, New York presents an intimate evening of music with world-renowned banjo artist Tony Trischka on Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 pm.
For more than 45 years Tony Trischka has inspired generations of acoustic and bluegrass musicians with his unique genre-crossing music. He has recorded and played with everyone from Pete Seeger and Earl Scruggs to Paul McCartney, the Dixie Chicks and Steve Martin. An International Bluegrass Music Association Banjo Player of the Year, Trischka has won numerous awards and accolades across musical genres. He was also a student and collaborator of Pete Seeger and this show will close the Grange’s celebration of Pete Seeger’s 100th birthday.
Tony Trischka maintains an international touring schedule and will be stopping at the Whallonsburg Grange for a workshop in the afternoon and the evening concert. The Grange is located at 1610 NYS Route 22 (corner of Whallons Bay Road) in Essex, New York in the Champlain Valley. The Grange is five miles from the Essex ferry dock.
