The Adirondack Art Association organizes several workshops every year. Coming up is a workshop called “Basic Drawing and Color Relationships.”
If you’re a beginner or just interested in learning some of the art basics, then this particular art workshop may be the one for you! Who knows, it could start you on a new career path, or at least give you a fun new hobby.
Where: St. John’s Episcopal Church, School Street, Essex, NY
When: July 11 & 12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with a break for lunch)
Cost: $75 per participant
What Exactly Is This Workshop?
Join John Cullen for a two-day workshop using the time-tested “block-in” method of drawing, a structured approach working from still-life set-ups. In addition there will be thorough grounding in color theory and color usage. Students need no prior basic skills.
Supplies: 18X24 newsprint drawing pad, 6B or ebony drawing pencil, kneaded eraser, box of soft chalk pastels (24) and a single-edged blade for sharpening. A drawing board (20X26) is desirable, brown wrapping paper is optional. (Adirondack Art Association)
