A colorful autumn shoutout to Jim Carroll for putting us onto a local-ish fall foliage showcase featured on Thrillist. The post, “Fall’s 10 most gorgeous American towns, voted by Travel + Leisure readers“, includes some familiar postcardy standbys peppered with a couple of requisite Vermont destinations.
But it’s not your same-old-same-old best fall foliage list. Fast forward to the more exciting news; the Adirondacks are laureled with second-to-best honors. It’s our inland neighbor Lake Placid that took the silver (Congrats, friends!) for best fall foliage, but one wonders if our fair village – when decked out in fall foliage finery – might not enjoy similar success at seducing readers.
Adirondack Bias for Best Fall Foliage?
