Blueberry Hill Adventure is March 16

Join us on Saturday, March 16, at 2:00 pm, for the Blueberry Hill Trail Adventure.

We’ll snowshoe, ski, or hike through an amazing network of trails that goes through a gorgeous forest with summits and fabulous views.

Let’s meet at the trailhead on Lords Rd, a quarter mile off 9N., west of Elizabethtown.

After the Adventure, you can grab a bite to eat at the Deer’s Head Inn on Main Street in Elizabethtown. They’re a CATS Business Sponsor so please tell them thanks!

Save the Date for the Grand Hike!

This year’s Grand Hike will be Saturday, May 11, from Westport to the Essex Inn. We are working to get an off-road route for the last two miles into Essex so keep your fingers crossed. Stay tuned for more exciting details!

Summer Job with CATS

Here’s a terrific opportunity for a paid summer position: Summer Trail Steward who will primarily maintain and create hiking/skiing trails. This is a full time, 2-4 month position, reporting to the Stewardship Director. Please let people know.

Champlain Area Trails (CATS) is a non-profit organization, begun in 2009, which creates and maintains hiking and cross-country ski trails in the Champlain Valley that link communities, connect people with nature, and promote economic vitality. In its short history, CATS has developed 35 miles of trails that when added to existing trails, gets it half-way toward the long-envisioned goal of a 30-mile trail loop between Westport and Essex.
