Elizabethtown resident Bud Egglefield transformed the doodle challenge into another dimension altogether by creating an aerial view of Essex, New York. Imagine yourself high above Essex in a hot air balloon. Or straddling a Great Blue Heron? This is what you might see.
Essex Aerial View or Hand Drawn Map?
I clearly spy the Essex marinas and the Old Dock Restaurant and Begg’s Park. The Essex-Charlotte ferry is docking near the left side of the page and one of those sailboats just might be the sloop I hope to own and sail on Lake Champlain a few years down the road. Frankly, this aerial view is an incredibly useful map of Essex!
We love your hand drawn map doodle, Bud. And it reminds us that we want love hand drawn maps. In fact, we’re hoping that some of our reader-doodlers will whip up their own hand drawn maps (or Essex aerial view) for us to share on the Essex blog.
Will you doodle a pirate-style treasure map from the marina where you docked to the delicious dinner/concert/sunset/vista you discovered and enjoyed? Or will you doodle an aerial view of you favorite architectural artifacts in and around Essex? Surprise us! We look forward to sharing your hand drawn map and/or aerial view on the blog soon. Thanks.
